Can cloudy headlights be restored?

Often, yes. If deterioration is primarily on the exterior polycarbonate lens, the damaged surface can usually be corrected and refinished. Cracks, severe internal deterioration and moisture inside the assembly are different issues.

Why do headlights turn yellow?

Sunlight, weather and road exposure gradually degrade the factory protective layer on many plastic headlight lenses. Once that protection fails, oxidation and discoloration become increasingly visible.

Is restoration better than replacing the headlights?

It depends on the condition. If the assembly works properly and the main problem is exterior lens oxidation, restoration can avoid the expense of replacing the complete assembly. Broken housings, internal damage or electrical failures may require replacement.

How do I get an accurate quote?
